He will be with his son Ezra in the 1871 census and will die in Wolford May 16, 1871, and be buried in Gower Township, Carleton County. He is 45 UC, Phebe McGuiggan his wife is 34 UC, George Lawless 10 UC, Frederick Edson 7 UC (Dec. 25, 1854) and an infant (Minnie) 1 UC. He is 80 USA (VT) and his wife Elizabeth Leahy is 75 USA (ONT). Parks is a son of Benajah Putnam and Elizabeth Livermore. He was born in Dummerston, Vermont on September 17, 1781. He married Elizabeth June 23, 1807 He will die here November 8, 1864, Elizabeth in a few months on July 22, 1861. He is indexed as P. D. Putnam. He is 43 WC, a farmer, Mrs P. D. (his second wife Letitia Magee) 27 WC, Angelia 8 WC (Jan. 18, 1854), and Gordon Ross 1 WC (Aug. 2, 1860). He was single here in 1851. He married Mary Ann Wickware here in 1852, and she died in May 1856. He then married Letitia in 1857. They will be here in 1871, she till 1911. He is a son of Parks Putnam and Elizabeth Leahy and was born here November 13, 1818. He is 39 UC, his wife Jane Ann Vanserilus is 35 UC, Horace W. 17 UC, Catherine N. 15 UC, and Alonzo M. 13 UC. He is a son of Asaph Putnam and Nancy Stokes, and was born in Wolford on December 9, 1822. He married Jane on April 18, 1844 in Montague, Lanark County. They were here in 1851, and will move to Muskoka County by the 1871. He will remain there in Cardwell & Watts until he dies January 27, 1910. He is a minister and will be widowed by 1875. Park’s son is 52 UC, Mrs. (Sarah Ann Blanchard his second wife) 31 UC, Calvert Edmond 8 UC, Clarence Embury 5 UC (born Oct 7, 1856) and Candice Elizabeth 3 UC (born Sep. 28, 1858. He was first married to Permelia Coolidge who died in 1851. He will die here December 29, 1865. Sarah will be listed in 1871 with her new husband William Parks in Smith Falls, Lanark, Ontario. He is 47 UC, Lovilla Church his wife 49 UC, Mary Ann 18 UC, Elizabeth 16 UC, and Joel 13 UC. They will be here in 1871. He is a son of Asaph Putnam and Nancy Stokes. He was born in Wolford, Grenville on April 24, 1814. He married Lovilla Church in Wolford August 18, 1835. They were in Wolford in 1851, and will be here in 1871. After that they are all in Michigan. He is 41 CAN, his wife Mary Ann Donovan 34 CAN, James Henry 11, John Donovan 10, Benejah Nathaniel 8, Sarah Anne 6, Lucinda Minerva 4. Also here is James Donovan 24, probably Mary Ann’s brother. Rinaldo is a son of Asaph Putnam and Nancy Stokes, and was born May 1, 1820. He married Mary Ann January 9, 1848. They will be here in 1871, and then go to Leelanau County, Michigan about 1872 and be there until he dies May 6, 1906. He is 27, Susanna Robbins 28, John W. 9, Albert H. 6, Mary C. 4 and Edmund 1. I think he is a son of Albert Putman and Mary Vaughn. They are in Wainfleet, Monck in 1871.
He is 37, Mary Myers his wife is 32, Elizabeth 15, William 11, James Alfred 8, George 4, Alfred (Albert) 3, and Harvey 1. They were here in 1851 and James is widowed here in 1871 and 1881. I don’t ever see the son George again, but there is a death certificate in Welland County that states his folks and all and that he was born July 7, 1857 and committed suicide by drowning July 31, 1910. His brother Harvey gave the information and certified the certificate.
He is 13, she is 18. They live with another family.
He is 51. Mary Ann Vaughn his wife is 45, Lorenzo 23, Henry 19 and Richard 12. He is a son of David Putman and Dorothy Hainer, Dutch family from New York.
He is now 78 USA, his wife Dorothy Hainer is 77 UC, William 32 and his wife Elizabeth 21, and then there is James 11. I don’t know who James belongs to. Possibly William, with an earlier wife. He may be a son of George Putman and Mary Ferguson from New York. Just not sure. They had a son David the right age. This is a New York Dutch family, but that’s about the best I can do.
He is 55, his wife Delila Groft is 52, Ann 22, Herman 19, Lucinda 17, Henry 14 and Adam 12. By 1871 Adam and Delila and their son Adam will have died. The other kids are still around though. He is a son of David Putman and Dorothy Hainer. This line is Adam > David Putman and Dorthy Hainer > Henry Putman and Hannah Anguish > Johannes Putman and Gertrude Six > Arent Janse Putman and Elizabeth Akerman > Johannes ‘Jan’ Poutman and Cornelia Brandt.
He is 37, Hannah Robbins 27, Martha 11, Elizabeth 9, Hilda 6 and William 4. Also here are George Hamilton Putman 18 and Hiram Putman 16 who are sons of Francis Putman and Mary Jane Morrow. He is in Caistor, Monck in 1871.
He is 27, Elizabeth 24, Edward 4 and George 1. He is a son of the following Jacob and Rebecca Putman.
He is now 63, Rebecca Young 59, Henry 30, Andrew 24, and Jacob 20. Jacob is a son of Henry Putman and Hannah Anguish of Bertie. He was born there. His father came up here after the Revolution. Jacob will be widowed here in 1871. All the kids will still be here in 1871 as well. He is now listed as 44, his wife Elizabeth Brown is 44 and they now have William B. (Brandago) 22, Becky Ann (Roxy Ann in 1851) 13, James M. (not listed in 1851) 16, Ester A. (Hester Ann in 1851) 11 (should be 17), Charles W. 15, Harrison C. 13, Cyra B. (Ezra B. in 1851) 12, George W. 10, John J. 8, Lester H. 6, Clarissa 4 and Steven B. 2. Everyone was born in Ontario. Ages all off. They were here in 1851 along with Ephron Putnam. John is a son of Asaph Putnam and Nancy Stokes from Grenville County.
