MINNESOTA
STATE CENSUSES
1857 - 1905
There was a State Census taken in 1857 then 1865, 1875, 1885, 1895 and 1905. There are later ones, but they aren’t indexed yet.
1857 MINNESOTA
STATE CENSUS
This was a special state census. It is also interesting to note that many of the people who are in this census are not around three years later in the Federal Census of 1860. Also, most of the listings are under the Putman spelling, even though many should be listed as Putnams, especially the New England ones. I have changed the ones I am certain about over to Putnam.

That family was originally from Massachusetts, and Pliny is a somewhat common name in that family. Strange also, there are two brothers from Vermont named John G. and Pliny right now.
