In 1840 Franklin Putnam of Cavendish, Windsor County, Vermont had a 5 year old son. In 1850 he was gone from the state. The descendent stated Charles moved to Massachusetts in 1845 and to Nebraska in 1854. Perfect. She also remembers the name Ezra popping up which was his grandfather’s name. Look in the Vermont Section to find out all about Ezra, and his sons including Franklin. This line goes back Charles > Franklin > Ezra > Phineas > Stephen > Benjamin > Nathaniel > John.
