This is the first year we see exactly who is in each family, their ages, state they were born in and relationship to each other. I am again listing all the folks by County. Again most of the New Englanders are Putnams, the Dutch folks are Putmans, but they are recorded as Putman more than not. I will use the spelling as it was recorded.
He is 42 NY, Adelia 38 NY, William (William Henry) 17 NY, Alonzo 4 NY and Benjamin (Charles in all later reports) 2 NY. He is number 1406, a son of David Putnam (553) and Jeanette Angus of Sutton, Mass. He was born here in Albany December 10, 1806. He married Adelia Austin on December 12, 1832. He will be widowed in New York City in 1860.
He is 38 NY and there is no wife listed. Children Alexander 13 NY, Adaline 11 NY and Mary 9 NY. Another son of David and Jeanette. He is number 1408 and was born here July 10, 1808 which would make him 41 and not 38. He married Sophia Blyett in 1834. It appears that she has died during the last decade.
He is 85 MA and living alone as Hester Johnson, his wife died back in 1835. Elisha is number 550. He is a brother of David; both are sons of Stephen Putnam and Mary Gibbs of Sutton, Mass. He and David came here together in the 1790s.
He is 28 NY, Ann 24 NY, Charlotte 4 NY, Adelia 1 NY. Another son of David Putnam. Hiram is number 1414. He was born here August 3, 1821. He married Electa Ann Robbins here on December 30, 1846.
He is 48 NY, Nancy Sickles 34 NY, Maria 8 NY, Theodore 6 NY, James 3 NY and Stephen 1 NY. James Angus Putnam is yet another of David’s sons. He was born here November 2, 1801, and will die here December 2, 1874. He married Nancy Sickles February 24, 1834. They have had more children, but 3 have died as small children as will two more. These kids plus David who will be born in 1855 will make it into adulthood. In 1860, he’s going to have another wife.
He is 30 NY, Mary 26 NY, and DeWitt 6 NY. This is a Dutch family. He is a son of John Jacob Putman and Lena Weaver of Montgomery County. His line goes Jacob > John J. > Jacob J. > Johannes V. > Victor J. > Jan or Johannes Putman.
She is 71 NY and living by herself. She is Jeanette Angus, the widow of David Putnam. David, number 553, died way back on August 9, 1832. She has been widowed ever since.
He is 35 NY, Pauline Chalet 25 NY, Mary 1 NY. John Smith Putnam, number 1399, is a son of Elisha Putnam (550) and Hester Johnson. He was born here March 4, 1814. He was still alive in 1891 living in New York City. He married Catherine DuBois in Buffalo on November 1, 1838. She died in 1840. He married his present wife, Pauline E. C. Chalet in 1843.

He is 45 NY and living by himself. He was here with a family in 1840, and will be again in 1860. Still, no ideas on who he is though.
She is 50 NY living with Francis and Elizabeth Sill also born in NY.

He is 45 NH (a school teacher), Lucretia Jones 41 VT, George B. 10 NH, Lucretia B. 8 NH. Also there is Mary Orcott 22 NH. He will be in Kane County, Illinois in 1870 with a new wife Nancy Downer. He is a son of Israel Putnam (1773) and Hannah Andrews. He was born in Fishersfield, Hillsborough County New Hampshire May 4, 1805, and was in Claremont, Sullivan County New Hampshire in 1840. I don’t find him in 1860, but he married Nancy in Aurora, Kane County Illinois June 18, 1863. He will be in Aurora until he dies August 15, 1872.
He is 57 NH, Nancy Wood, his wife, 56 VT, Amanda 32 NY. He’s a son of Archelaus Putnam (#1903) and Martha Hawkins of Wilton, New Hampshire. He’s Archelaus 4th. He was born June 10, 1792 in Wilton. The line is this Archelaus > Archelaus 1903 > Archelaus 774 > Archelaus 286 > Nathaniel > Benjamin > Nathaniel > John Putnam. They have been here since the late 1820s.
She is 45 NY, Milton 19 NY. She was here widowed with two sons in 1840. She would more than likely be the widow of Nathaniel, the son of Nathaniel Putnam and Betsy Cheever who was here in 1830. Also there is Minerva Rathburn 39 NY. They are here again in 1860, but Milton will have moved out to Gratiot County, Michigan by then.
He is 40 CT, Laura Bragg is 36 NY, John C. 11 NY and Mary 5 NY. He is a son of Calvin Putnam (1851) and Chloe Chapman from Franklin County, Mass. He will die soon, and it looks like Laura is in Putnam County, NY in 1860 and then out in Muskegon County, Michigan with her son John C. in 1870 and 1880.
He is John Henry Putman, 39 NY, Hannah B. Cornwell his wife is 34 NY, Nathaniel 13 NY, Ira 12 NY, Susan 10 NY, Sylvanus 8 NY, Louis 7 NY, Electa 2 NY. His father Lewis 66 NY is living with them. Dutch family.
He a Putman, Dutch folks, and is 66 NY and living with his son John (above). His wife has died and he is widowed. Lewis is a son of Johannes Putman and Elizabeth Vedder. He was born in Niskayuna, Albany County on November 20, 1784. The line is Lewis > Johannes (John) > Lowys (Lewis) > Cornelius > Jan.
He is a son of Seth and his first wife Jane. He was born Concord, Vermont November 21, 1815. He is 34 NY, Esther A. Baker, his wife, 24 NY, Mary 6 NY. He’ll be here in 1860 and widowed in 1870, 1880 and probably longer.
He is Joshua Lancaster Putnam, a son of Seth and Jane Putnam from Essex County, Vermont. He is 43 NY, Marcia Johnson, his second wife, is 46 NY. Josh was born in Concord Township, Essex County, Vermont on February 8, 1808. Their son Francis Emery is 12 NY. Francis will be in Pennsylvania by 1870. Lorinda Wedge, his first wife, died in 1848. He has just married Marcia.
He is 36 NY (VT in 1860 which is correct), Clarissa Jane Parsons 33 NY, Thomas 10 NY, Orson F. 8 NY, Harriet 6 NY, David 3 NY and Marietta 1 NY. He is a son of Seth and Jane, born back in Essex County, Vermont. Clarissa’s folks Ashbel 65 CT and Mehetable 66 CT Parsons live next door.
He is 67 CT, Sibyl 59 CT. Sibyl Lilly is his second wife. He was first married to Martha Williams. He is number 2206, a son of Aaron Putnam (936) and Olive Osborne of Fairfield, Connecticut. Aaron was born in Danvers, Massachusetts, but moved to Connecticut before the Revolution and served in the Connecticut Militia during the War. His brother Jeremiah is over in Delaware County at this time, and will be here in Broome County in 1860. Sibyl will be widowed here in the 1870 census. This line is Nathan > Aaron > Jonathan > Jonathan > Jonathan > John > John.

He is 63 (not recorded, but is VT), Roxanna Underwood, his second wife, is 56 PA, and Horace 30 NY. He has been here since about 1817. This whole family missed out in the 1860, but in 1870 Roxanna will be widowed here and Horace will be still unmarried and out boarding.

He was born November 13, 1790 in Charlestown, New Hampshire. He is number 1170. His line is Roswell (1170) > Samuel (466) > Timothy > Seth > Thomas > Thomas > John.

He is 37 NY, Mary Ann 26 NY, and Joseph 7 NY. He is a son of Peter Putman Sr. and Mary Waters. He is married to Mary Ann Learn or Leam. He was first married to her sister Sarah Ann Learn who died here January 15, 1841. He then married Mary Ann on May 3, 1843. They will be here in 1870.
He is 5 NY and living with his mother Susan 43 VT.
He is 18 MA, a clerk. He is boarding with a Michaels family. He is a son of Nathan Bancroft Putnam (3368) who is in Chautauqua County now.
He is 38 NY, Amelia Pierce 35 NY, Sarah 15 NY, Elizabeth 13 NY, Albert 11 NY, Amelia 9 NY, James 6 NY, and Francis 4 NY. He would be a son of John Putman and Sarah Mumford. The folks are now in Canada and Peter and Amelia will head there in the next few years. Peter will die there in Norfolk County, Ontario July 4, 1882. Amelia will die April 12, 1864. Francis will become a physician and be in Syracuse New York from the 1770s through the 1930.
He is 30 NY and living alone. By 1870, he will finally just marry a young gal from Canada. In 1870, he will be in Owasco, Cayuga County. He is listed here in the 1855 State Census and it shows he was born in Montgomery County, so would be Dutch.
He is 27 NY. He is a prisoner in the Auburn State Prison. He is serving a term for larceny and will still be here in the 1855 state census. At that time it states he was born in Schoharie County and is a widower. There was an article in the Syracuse paper Feb 2, 1859 stating Stephen was just put back in prison for 6 months and had spent the past 17 years there.
He is 30 NY a black laborer. His wife Catherine DuBois is 21 NY and also a black woman. She is widowed here in 1860. In the State 1855 census she is widowed and living with her mother Julia DuBois. Both were born in Dutchess County, New York.
He is 28 NY and living alone. This is a dual listing for Asa’s son. The age is almost correct here. He was born October 12, 1822. He will be back living with his folks, still single, in 1860.

There was another son, William who would be in his early 20s, but seems to have moved out to the Syracuse area. Asa was born in Washington County, NY December 2, 1797. Asa first married Lucinda Storke January 10, 1822, and she died in September 1828. He then married her sister Louisa March 4, 1829. She is the one shown here.
He is 47 NY, Emeline McGee is 41 MA, Charles 20 NY, Francis 18 NY, and Alfred 14 NY. Another son of Lewis and Nancy. Lewis was born July 6, 1803. He will be here till he dies September 23, 1885, Emmeline till she dies October 5, 1890.

He is presently married to his second wife Eliza Goodell, but she will die March 1857, and he will marry Abigail Huntington in November of 1857 and they will be here in 1860 and 1880.
She is 56 NY, James 26 NY, William 23 NY, Hester 21 NY, Philson (Theron)17 NY. She is the widow of Lewis Putman who was here in 1830 and 1840. They will be in Lafayette County, Wisconsin in 1860. Dutch folks.

He is 26 NY and living alone. He is David Dense Putman, a son of Jacob Putman and Hannah Lewis who are listed shortly. He will marry Teresa Margaret Hunsinker here on January 24, 1850. He was born in Tribes Hill, Montgomery County on December 11, 1823 and will die in Auburn, Cayuga County, New York on July 15, 1906.

He is Sardis Barnes Putnam, born in Becket January 22, 1807. He married Dorcas Starr in Middlefield, Hampshire County, Massachusetts on July 3, 1834. The line goes back from Sardis > Joel > Isaac (226) > Isaac (58) of Sutton, Mass. He will die here in 1852, Dorcas around 1882 back in Livingston County where they were in the mid 1840s.

Pliny is number 1702, a son of Daniel Putnam (705) and his second wife Kezia Pollard of Ashburnham, Massachusetts. He was born in Winchendon, Massachusetts on November 21, 1801. He moved with his family to Windham County, Vermont. He then moved to Oneida County, New York, and married Flora Edgerton in about 1825. They then moved here and will head off to Winona County, Minnesota in about 3 more years.
She is 25 NY living with the Barber family. She is the wife of Richmond Putnam and is also shown with him in Stockton. She is simply here visiting her folks or tending to her dad who will die shortly. In 1860 everyone including her mom will be here in Arkwright. Probably taking over the Barber family farm.
He is 40 VT, Abigail Howard, his wife, 41 VT, Lydia 14 NY, Jesse 12 NY, Davis 7 NY, Horace 4 NY and Laurilla 1 NY. He is number 3356, a son of Jesse Putnam (1671) and Lucy Coleman. He was born June 15, 1809 in Chester, Windsor County, Vermont. He married Abigail Howard Lakin in Windham, Vermont March 17, 1835. He was in Charlotte in 1840, and will die here November 7, 1858. Abigail was born in 1809 and will die here November 5, 1863. The daughter Laurilla was born in 1848 and will die here March 1, 1860. They will also have a daughter Alice born in 1853 and died February 15, 1857.

He is 38 NY and a teacher. His wife Nancy Sinclair is 44 NY, Florence A. 1 and Worthy Clarence is 6/12 NY. He is number 2847, a son of Andrew Putnam and Azuba Stanhope. He was born in Brookfield, New York on October 22, 1811. His wife is Nancy Sinclair, they were married in 1847. She will die shortly (September 6, 1855), and in 1856 he will marry Mary Elvira Dalrymple. He will become a judge when he gets to Michigan in the mid 1860s.
He is 26 NY, Martha A. 21 NY and they have Estelle 4/12 NY. He is a son of the Abner Putnam listed in Stockton. He is number 2890, and was born April 3, 1824 in Stockton. He married Martha Ann Walker June 20, 1849. She will die in 1859, and he will marry Marilla Smith in 1860.
Jacob’s son has been here since the 1830s. He is now 37 VT, Sally Young, his wife, 33 NY, Harriet 10 NY, Alma F. 4 NY and John G. W. 2 NY. He married Sally Young in April 1837 here in Chautauqua. He’ll be here until he dies in 1900. Sally will die here later this year. He will return east to Massachusetts and marry Hannah Ellis in Warwick, Mass. December 25, 1851, and then return here in the mid 1850s.
He is 25 NY (should be VT), Sarah Ann Stewart is 20 NY. They live with `Sarah’s folks. He and Sarah were just married here on January 1, 1850. He gets another listing coming up next.

Also there is his daughter Arvilla Miller 20 VT and her husband M. Miller 31 VT and their two daughters. Harvey is number 2664, a son of Joshua Putnam (1195) and Lucy Lathrop of Bethel, Vermont. He was born there February 6, 1795. They will be around here till about 1868 and then will be in Pike County, Missouri by the 1870 census.
She is 24 VT and living as a servant on a farm. This might be a duplicate listing for Harvey’s daughter Harriet listed above who should be listed as 24 too.
He is 56 MA, Vesta Mallery his wife is 55 VT, Edwin 22 NY, Emily 20 NY, Corydon 19 NY, Sarah 17 NY, and Lavinia 13 NY. He is number 1318, and was born in Buckland, Massachusetts July 28, 1794. He will die here in Stockton on August 27, 1862. He is a son of William Putnam (530) and Submit Fisk of Sutton, Massachusetts. He married Vesta in Vermont on April 28, 1818. This line is Abner > William > Elisha > Elisha > Edward > Thomas > John. He has a bunch of kids in the area, check Elisha, William, Allen and Richmond.

He is 53 NY, Thankful Rogers his wife 50 NY, Worthy 19 NY, Delos 14 NY, Wealthy 10 NY. His mother Azuba (Stanhope) 79 MA is with them. Azuba will die in 1864 at age 94. Gilbert is number 2840. He is a son of Andrew Putnam (1284), and was born in Brookfield, Madison County, New York June 21, 1797. He married Thankful January 24, 1819 Andrew was the first settler in Stockton, arriving in 1817. This line is Gilbert > Andrew > Andrew > Elisha > Elisha > Edward > Thomas > John.

He is 53 MA, Lucy Winchell), his second wife, is 44 NY, Welcome, a son, is 30 NY, Tracy, a daughter named for her mother Tracy Fenner who was Newell’s first wife, is 21 NY and Charles (Charles Sumner) is 17. He is number 2839, and was born in Greenfield, Massachusetts on February 28, 1795. They will be here till about 1873 and then will go to Conneault, Ashtabula County, Ohio. His son Charles Sumner will remain there, but in 1886 he and Lucy will return here. She will die here January 12, 1887, and he will die March 12, 1890.

He is 28 NY, Seba M. Barber 27 NY. He is Number 2889, a son of Abner and Vesta listed earlier. He was born here in Stockton November 16, 1822. He married Seba Barber here October 26, 1848.
He is Andrew and Azuba’s son. He is number 2845. He is a twin of Union. They were born June 6, 1809 in Brookfield, New York. Royal is 41 NY, Lovely (Nellie Haviland) is 30 NY and Lovell G. is 2 NY. Lovell is named after Royal’s brother who died of a fever in 1815. According to some notes in Eben’s files, Royal was 6 feet 2 inches and weighed in at 259 pounds.
He is number 2888, a son of Abner and Vesta Putnam listed earlier. He lives next door to his brother Elisha. He is 29 NY, Eliza A. 26 NY. He was born here in Stockton September 13, 1821 and will die here April 27, 1880. He married Eliza Ann Fancher September 30, 1847.
He is 76 CT, a roofer. Also there are R. (Richard) Wright 25 NY, Dorcas Wright 22 NY, Charles Wright 5 NY, and Ellis Wright 2 NY. Dorcas is his daughter. He was here in 1840, and in Madison County in 1830. He is number 986, a son of Charles Putnam (385) and Martha Rose of Preston, Connecticut and then out here in Oneida County, New York. He was married to Sarah Shaw, who has died. He himself will die here January 17, 1852.
He is 48 NY, Zerueah Lawrence is 49 VT, Azuba 25 NY, Alvin (actually it is Olvin) 23 NY, Eveline 18 NY. Also there is Charles Washburn 25 VT. He is number 2842, another son of Andrew and Azuba Putnam. He was born in Brookfield, Madison County, New York on March 30, 1802.
He is 18 NY, a millwright. He lives with the Thomas Ames family. He is a son of Ephron Putnam and Phebe Wilmarth, who were in Ellery in the 1830s. He will be married here in 1860.
He is 45 MA, Dolly E. (Almira E. Osgood), his wife, 42 MA, Anna 18 MA, Aaron O. (Osgood) 14 NY, Caroline E. 10 NY, Alford L. (actually Albert L.) 7 NY, Arthur C. 2 NY. He is number 3369, son of Nathan Putnam (1681) and Rhoda Gates. He was born in Stow, Massachusetts April 25, 1804. He will be around here till he dies March 29, 1880.
He is 47 MA, Elmira Eveline Beaman, his wife, is 45 MA, Ellen 18 MA, John B. (Beaman) 16 MA, Myra A. 14 NY, Herbert 7 NY, and Emily L. 6 NY. His mother Rhoda Gates Putnam 65 MA is here too. He is Nathan Bancroft Putnam, number 3368, a son of Nathan Putnam (1681) and Rhoda Gates. He was born in Stow, Massachusetts March 6, 1803. He married Almira August 29, 1829 in Montague, Franklin County, Massachusetts. There is another son, Nathan A age 20 MA who is in Randolph now, and he will be here in 1860.
He is 21 NY, a clerk. He lives with Louis Shedd, a merchant. This is not a duplicate listing for Abner’s son. This Edwin will be married and living in Ellington in 1860. This Edwin is a son of Hiram and Zerueah Putnam.
He is a son of Jonas and Rhoda Putnam and has been here most
of his life. He is now 71 NY, a farmer, Sabra Preston, his wife, is 70 VT. Also
there are Melvina Tanner 14 NY and Leonard Hartwell 16 NY. They are probably
grandchildren. John had a bunch of daughters as shown in the 1820 and 1830 census
reports. He was born September 20, 1779, and will die here February 22, 1859.
Sabra will be widowed here in 1860 and die later that year. She was born June

He was born in Brookfield, Madison County on June 6, 1809. He married Clarinda in 1831. She will die in 1855, and he will marry a widow Anna Herrick and be here in 1860.

He is a son of Ephron Putnam and Phebe Wilmarth of Washington County and then of here. Warren was born May 5, 1823 and will die here in Ellery April 6, 1889. He married Susanna here on November 17, 1842.
He is 61 NH, Lucy Morse 58 VT. They live with George (33 NH) and Eleanor (30 NY) West. He was here in 1840 as well. Eleanor is his daughter, and they will be living here with them in 1860 and probably for the rest of their lives. Thomas will die here in 1879, Lucy in 1865. He is a son of Thomas Putnam (452D) and Mary Young of Charlestown, New Hampshire and then Vermont. They’ll be here the rest of their lives.

He is a son of Eli Putnam of Spencer, Massachusetts, but I am not certain exactly who that Eli was, but he died May 29, 1845. Daniel was born in Spencer, Worcester County Massachusetts on November 26, 1830. He’ll be here in 1860, mom won’t.

He is number 1851, a son of Nathaniel Putnam (762) and his second wife Phebe Snow. He was born in Wilton, New Hampshire June 8, 1782 and will die here in Truxton on May 9, 1857. Now, as to wives. His first wife was Chloe Chapman in Heath, Massachusetts November 24, 1804. Calvin’s second wife was Ann Grant, they were married in 1819. I don’t have any notes on him marrying three times, but the choice here is either spelling and this is Ann, or he had a third wife, Amy Pierce or some such. She will be here widowed in 1860 and calls herself Amy, so I’ll go with Amy being his third wife. The son, William will be marrying Philanda Pierce here in 1852. Philanda would be a kin of sorts to Amy and her mom Mary.

His mother is with his brother Lafayette in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at this time. Caleb and Sarah are here through 1880 and she is widowed here in 1900.

Near as I can determine, he is a son of Joseph (583) and Anna Putnam (1079) of Danvers, Massachusetts. He is number 1468, and was born in Danvers January 15, 1785. In 1840, they were in Springwater, Livingston County, Pennsylvania. Emma will be widowed here in 1860 and in Tompkins County in 1870. There are two Barton men boarding here and Joseph Barton will be with Emma here in 1860.
She is 68 NY and lives alone. She seems to be the widow who was in Lockport, Niagara County in 1830. Not sure who her husband was though.

George and Francis (probably a brother) were in Otsego County in 1800, George was there in 1790, and died here in Sardinia March 14, 1829. George Putman is a son of David Putman from Montgomery County. Dutch family. William will die here in 1858, and Betsy is shown here as a widow in 1860.
You’ll need help here. Heck, I need help here. Everyone here in Essex County is descended from an Asa Putnam. Problem is there seem to be two of them, and both cousins out of Vermont, and frankly I think Eben gets them a bit mixed up as far as kids go. I haven’t found anyone on either line, so I am not at all certain. Be real careful here. The first Asa is number 897, son of Tarrant number 334 and Mary Porter. This line is Asa > Tarrant > Israel > Benjamin > Nathaniel > John. Asa was born in Danvers, Mass. December 28, 1763, and moved with his folks to Orange County, Vermont. He married Mary (Polly) Fowler in Corinth, Orange County on January 2, 1792. His children seem to be Polly born VT 1793, Prudence born VT 1795, Elisha born 1796, Hiram born NY 1798 and William Henry Harrison born 1813 NY. This Asa died September 11, 1839, Polly died May 10, 1858. Then there was another Asa (no number assigned as Eben knew little even of his folks. This Asa was a son of Thomas Putnam (481) and Susannah Stone of Bethel, Windsor County, Vermont. This line goes Asa > Thomas > Holyoke > Edward > Edward > Thomas > John. This Asa was born in June 1780 and died in 1865. He married Elizabeth Gallup. According to Eben, in his ‘sketches’, the children were Sabin, Mary, Calvin, Joseph, Curtis, Jane, Charles, Francis, Henry and Harrison (probably a single guy Henry Harrison, very common after the War of 1812).

Peter Derrick Putman is a son of Derrick Putman and Nelly Von Brocklin. He is 61 NY, Mariah Eacher, his wife, 59 NY. They have been here for years. He will die here April 2, 1855. Maria will make it till April 17, 1864. Also there are his son Stephen 27 NY, wife Elizabeth Alida Eversine 22 NY, and their children Adam 4 NY and Emeline 2 NY.

David Putman went to New Jersey in 1708, staying first in Monmouth County and by the 1730s in Hunterdon County. His son Victor moved to Sussex County, New Jersey for the rest of his life. Peter Senior was born there, fought in the Revolution and then went to Yates County, New York about 1814, where he died in 1835. Sarah was living here with her son Peter until her death in 1841.

He is a minister, and according to Eben will go to California, but I don’t find him there.

He is a son of James Putnam (1670) and Elizabeth Richardson of Lynnfield, Massachusetts. He will be listed in the 1855 State census with a new wife Lucy. But in 1860, they have separate listings, so I guess it didn’t work out.

The recorder thought Jay was an initial, actually it's his full name. He was born January 3, 1820 in Palmyra, Wayne County, New York. He is a son of Stephen Putnam and Dorcas Smith. Stephen was born in Tolland, Conn., Dorcas was from Massachusetts. This line is Jay > Stephen > Cornelius > Cornelius (339) > Cornelius (127) > Benjamin > Nathaniel > John.

She is 12 NY. She is Willard Putnam’s (2862) daughter. Her dad died in 1844, and her mother Mary Jane Jones has remarried to Obadiah Hitchcock. Lucinda lives with them now. She will marry Walter Kibby here in 1865.
WILLIAM P. PUTNAM Rochester, Monroe County
He is 22 MA and boarding. He is William Pitt Putnam (2942), a son of Silas Putnam (1351) and Sarah Ludden of Sutton, Mass. He will marry Minerva Harris here in about a month on April 14th. Then they will go back to Douglas, Worcester County, Mass and then to Providence, Rhode Island, but I don’t find them there in 1860. Then in 1862, they will head out to Ogden, Champaign County, Illinois. He will die there February 26, 1870, and his wife Minerva and their kids will be there in the 1880 and longer.
He is 17 NY and boarding with his father’s widowed sister Huldah Hazen 55 NY. He is George Lewis Putnam, a son of George Washington Putnam and Melinda Hosmer. George Senior was a son of Reuben Putnam and Huldah Cummings. His father George died here September 4, 1845, and his mother a couple of months earlier. He will move to Oakland County, Michigan, and marry Mary Hazen and be there in 1860 and 1870. New England family.

She will die in 1853, and he will marry Margaret Smith in Amsterdam October 20, 1857 and move to Lewis County and be there for the 1860. He will remain here till he dies January 21, 1871. He is a son of John Derrick Putman and Anna Van Alstyne. The line goes Aaron > John > Derrick > Lodowyck > Arent > Johannes Putman.

He is 64 NY, Hannah Lepper 64 NY, Jacob 42 NY, Elizabeth 36 NY, Mary A. 34 NY and Jane 26 NY. He is a son of Jacob J. Putman and Elizabeth McCarthy. The line is Francis > Jacob > Johannes > Victor > Jan. He will die here September 7, 1857. Jacob, Betsy and Jane will still be here, unmarried, in 1870. Ugly kids I guess.
