FRED PUTNAM
Lamoille County
The name is Fred E. Putnam. He is 66 VT and is living with his wife Louise 57 VT. They weren't listed in 1900, so I just don't know. First he married Stella Louise Prince here in Lamoille County on February 28, 1882. The only time he has been shown in a census record was in 1860 when he was listed here with Asa Putnam and Elizabeth Gallup. He was then 4 and Asa and Elizabeth were into their 60s. In 1850, Asa's kids were all listed. The ONLY one missing was his son Charles who would have been 29 in 1860. Best guess is that Fred was a child in Charles' marriage and he lost his folks in the late 1850s and was taken in by gramps. He might have been a 'last minute' baby of Asa, but Charles looks like the best bet to be his father. No clue as to mom. Louise is widowed here in 1930.
