living with a Lawrence family and she was here too in 1935. She is the first
wife of Clifford Putman here in town. She was with him in 1930 in Jay County
Indiana and called herself Evelyn then. Same gal.

6 OH, a daughter from her first marriage. He is Clifford Eugene Putman a son of
Ira and May Putman here in town. He was in Van Wert County with his folks in
1920 and married to Evelyn in Portland, Jay County Indiana in 1930. They got
divorced and she is also back here in Lima listed as Beatrice. He was born in
Van Wert County December 30, 1907 and will die here in Lima June 7, 1971.

is 48 OH and they have been married 32 years now. They have Florence 23 OH,
Mabel 11 OH and a granddaughter Mary Ann 8 OH. Mary Ann is a daughter of their
son Roy and is listed with him as well. He is a son of Jasper Newton Putman and
Emma Fortney and was born in Van Wert County July 17, 1889, and was there
through the 1920. Ira was born July 17, 1889. He will die here in Lima March 12,
1980 at age 90. He and Mae are buried back in Van Wert County where they

listed as Ray, but is Roy M. Putman the son of Ira Putman and May Krick from here. He is now 26 OH, his wife Margaret E.
Miller is also 26 OH. They were married here May 15, 1932 and they have had 5
kids in those 8 years. Mary Ann 8 OH, William 6 OH, Helen 4 OH, Connie 2 OH and
Janet 1 OH. He is a laborer for American Stone Company. He was born in Van Wert
County November 19, 1913 and will die here in Lima September 14, 2002. Margaret
will die here in 1982. German Family out of Pennsylvania.
WILLIS PUTMAN Lima City, Ottawa Township Allen County
He is
listed 70 OH but should be 76 OH I believe. He was here in 1930 listed as
William Putman 66 OH and widowed both times. Just can’t figure out who he is.
He is same age and everything as Elder Willis Putman who was and is in Van Wert
County. Van Wert and Allen Counties abut each other and this may be a dual
listing. Pennsylvania German if it is.
He is
25 OH single and lodging. He is a laborer at the County Tuberculosis Hospital.
He is a son of Walter Edward Putman and Bonnie Boltz from Van Wert County. He
was born in Ohio City there on October 11, 1914 and will die in Ohio City September
21, 1984.
He will soon marry Margaret Geraldine Strickler-Alger. She was a daughter of Oatus Strickler and Lillie Brunstetter
and was born in Van Wert County June 9, 1917 and died there February 12, 2008.

George Putnam and Mary Temple from Stockton, New York. His grandfather was
Gilbert Putnam number 2840. George was born in McKean County Pennsylvania July
25, 1858 and will die here in October 1946. Massachusetts folks before going to
New York State.

her mother and probably father, but no ideas as to who he was.

here. ‘Buddy’ Putman was born May 29, 1897 and will die November 16, 1980 in
Fayetteville, Tennessee. He married Dora M. Girnus.
She was born May 22, 1898 and will die in Fayetteville in May 1974. The son
Russell was born September 2, 1921. He will marry Eloise Jane Massey. They will
live in Fayetteville, Tennessee. Eloise was born December 24, 1923 and died
August 10, 2001 in Fayetteville. Russell died there April 7, 2009. Southern
Putmans out of Virginia.

Clem and Nancy A. Snapp, and was born March 2, 1882 and will did June 8, 1951.

also a birthday present. Henry Stanley Putnam is a son of Charles Thomas Putnam
and his second wife Mary Shane.

was born October 29, 1924 and died March 31, 2009. Willard Sims Putnam was born August 8, 1922. He married Kathleen
Kiser June 22, 1943 in Covington, Kentucky. She was born September 12, 1924 in
Bradford Ohio. Norma
Lee Putnam was born August 15, 1927.
She married Charles Lewis Borror in Covington
Kentucky on June 22, 1944. He
was born November 12, 1926. They died within 2 days of each other. Norma on May
7, 2012 and Charles on May 9, 2012. Southern Branch Virginia to Kentucky.

5, 1929. They spent all their lives in Champaign County. Paul died December 23,
2007. Evelyn was born May 8, 1908 and died February 8, 2002. She was a daughter
of John W. Friend and Choral D. Brabson. Not bad both
well into their 90s. Kermit was born
November 18, 1936 and died March 8, 1969. He married Delores Ann Covault September 8, 1957. After his death she married
Virgil Blair April 22, 1972. Kay Ann was born November 25, 1939. She married
Fred Wayne Booher on April 12, 1958. In 2007 they are
alive in Beavercreek. Ohio

22, 1956 a couple of months shy of his 100th birthday. At that time he still had an active driver’s license and was the
oldest man in Ohio to ever have one.

K. Leedon who died in childbirth in 1921. He married Verda in 1925. He was born here August 16, 1884 and will be
here till he dies February 22, 1976. Verda will die
here in 1960. He is a son of James Buchanan Putnam and Sarah Alice Prince.

driver for an automobile transporting company. Robert Lloyd Putnam is a son of
William Lloyd Putnam and Mary Kay Leedom from
Champaign County. He was born July 4, 1911. They will move to California. They
are in Laguna Hills in 1976 and he will die in Hemet, Riverside County November
12, 1997. Julia was born in East Moline, Illinois February 15, 1911 and will
die or at least be buried in East Moline January 3, 2003. Southern Putman Family

is 25 NE and single. She is in training at the Springfield City Hospital and
Training School for Nurses. She is a daughter of Newel Claude Putnam and Myrtle
McCallum. New England family that went to Broome County New York then out to
Nebraska and then up to South Dakota where her daddy died.

He is a son of John Hall Putman and Mary Florence Miller and was born in
Columbiana County June 30, 1909 and will die in Columbus, Franklin County July
18, 1998. Margaret was born in Cincinnati October 21, 1913 and will die in
Columbus July 31, 1992. He is an accountant in an Oil Refinery. Never
had any children. Southern
Putman family out of Kentucky and Virginia before that.

14 OK and still lives with his mother Margaret 36 OH and her second husband
Raymond Beck 36 OH. The middle initial could/should be G. for Gail. Obits has
him born June 26, 1925 and then dying here in Springfield October 29, 1996. He
is Stanley Gail Putnam a son of Truman Guy Putnam and Margaret Pfeiffer. Since
this listing shows his mom as Margaret, that’s him. Truman out in California
now with Mable Dickens wife 2 or so in Pomona, Los Angeles County California.
Rand Putnam found Stanley’s marriage certificate for July 7, 1947. It has him
born June 26, 1925 in Drumright, Oklahoma and getting married in Wayne County
Indiana to Wilma May Bader and states his folks were Truman Putnam and Margaret
Pfeiffer. Nice job Rand.

they have been married 21 years. He is a grade teacher in a public school. They

Putman and Mary Florence Miller and was born in Highland County June 6, 1896
and was there through 1920. He married Eva June 5, 1919. His dad was from Lewis

Alice 37 OH. Mary was married to Thomas James Putnam here in 1920 and 1930.
Young Alice was at home here in 1920. Family is from Vermont, but not exactly
sure of Tomճ dad. According to Ohio birth records he
is a son of Thomas Putnam and Effie Philson a son of
James and Mary Putnam from here. Problem is that he first appears here as a
grandson of James H. Putnam from Vermont, but I think he was born out of
wedlock by his older sister Alice who seems to have raised him.

a West Virginia Marriage License dated February 15, 1930 where Patrick Oliver
Putman and Nettie Rowena Mead, both of Salem Ohio, got married. This is them.
No idea as to his folks. They were here in 1930 too.

Merle Putman was
born December 9, 1907 and will die in Cleveland June 19, 1989. His dad John
Monroe was born June 13, 1879 in Gilmer County West Virginia and will die here
in East Liverpool, Columbiana County September 6, 1960. His mother Lucy was
born in Braxton County West Virginia November 3, 1879 and will die in East

and Horace Andrews 13 OH. They were married here December 29, 1917. He is a son
of Herbert J. Putnam and Laura Hale. He was born in Fredonia, New York February
8, 1893. He was at home there in 1900 and 1910.They are here in Cleveland in
1920 and 1930. John B. Junior was a Lieutenant in the Army Air Corps and died
in WWII in 1945. Both sons went to Princeton. John is a Lawyer and Mildred an
art collector who donated a lot to the Cleveland Museum of Art. Mildred is a
daughter of Horace Andrews and Laura Olive Dempsey and was born in Huron County
June 19, 1890 and will die in Houma, Louisiana April 13, 1984. John will die
here in Cleveland May 22, 1951. New Englanders.

is a son of Edward Wallace Putnam and Mary Hall and was born in Michigan June
8, 1907. He will enlist in the Army here on June 14, 1943 and will die back in
Detroit, Michigan May 25, 1986. He was there in 1935. This is a family from
Vermont and then New York that came out to Illinois in the1860s.

August 18, 1881. Mina was born in Ohio in 1886 and will die here October 26,
1968. I donմ know when Maurice died. Family came out
of Connecticut to New York then here.

Nugent Putnam. Hartwell was in Liverpool, Queens Nova Scotia with a wife Jane.
Catherine was his first wife and was off somewhere in 1911 when Roy was born.

and died in Shaker Heights, Ohio (suburb of Cleveland) August 9, 1967. Southern Putmans. His dad is
President of Butler College in Indianapolis.

Ohio County West Virginia he was at home there in 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930,
single every time. His dad was part of the ‘other’ Putnam line that came over

sent me a document that shows Horace was Mayor of Jefferson from the early

Mayor of West Jefferson. There is a story as to why Horace never married.
Horace was engaged to a girl named Ida who tragically died the December before
they were to be married. He didn’t want another woman after that. Horace will
die here July 28, 1942.

were in Rock River, Alger County Michigan in 1930 and he was also managing a
farm there.

Clara D. Beidler is the widow of John Freemont Putman from here (Pennsylvania German folks) and was widowed back in the 1910 and here ever since. She is 77 OH. She was a daughter of Joseph Beidler and Barbara Mumaw. She was born in Wayne County Ohio March 21, 1863 and died in Massillon June 23, 1950. John and Clara were married here on January 1, 1885. John was born July 10, 1856 and died in Massillon in 1903. He operated Putman Dry Goods store in Massillon.

He is a son of Walter Scott Putman and Abigail Elizabeth Bower, and was born here July 25, 1891. He was married to Golda here in 1920 and 1930. He will die in April 1963. The son Walter H. Putman was born April 23, 1918 and will die in Massillon in April 1984. He married Ruth Esther Tschantz who was born July 24, 1921 in Massillon July 24, 1921 and died there January 10, 2012. They never had any children. Norman Joseph Putman was born June 24, 1924 and will die in Wilmot, Stark County November 10, 2004. His wife Florence Louise was born January 26, 1930 and alive in 2009. Robert L. Putman was born June 14, 1927 and died April 11, 1994. He was a Lt. Colonel in the Army and served in both Korea and Vietnam. Pennsylvania German family.

In 1900 Harding Putman and Mary Jane Jones have a son Named Audie E. born in Murray, Calloway County Kentucky born December 6, 1986. The middle name is Edward. He is there in 1910. Then in 1920 through 1940 this Andy Edward Putman is the right age and in his 1942 draft card he states he was born in Murray Kentucky December 6, 1896. What ya know, same guy. Just didn’t care for the name Audie and changed his name to Andy Edward Putnam. Even went back to the earlier Putnam spelling. Guess same thing bothered his son who went his whole life using the name A. Edward Putnam. So this family goes back to Jabel Putman from Kentucky and the Carolinas before that. Summit County then and based on the last two kids they were around here then as
well. Iva is a daughter of Henderson Bell Hoover and Martha Frances Barnett and
was born in Nicholas County West Virginia October 25, 1899 and will die here in
Summit County February 6, 1982. Elmer will
die here on January 23, 1961. This family was from Fauquier County Virginia and then Gilmer
County West Virginia. They are Southern Putmans, although this particular line

in Van Wert December 22, 1981. Goldie was born in 1890 and will die in
Rockford, Mercer County Ohio July 13, 1955. Harrison will later marry Anna Hankammer.

Cora Humerickhouse 61 OH and 3 of her kids. Hugh is a
son of Isaac and Sophia Putman. He was born January 22, 1855. He married Ellen
Esther Neiford on December 2, 1875. She was born in
Ohio April 4, 1858. They were in Dublin, Mercer County most of their lives.
Ellen died August 14, 1906 in Van Wert. In 1920, Hugh is living with his son
George in Ohio City, Van Wert County. They are there still in 1930 and Hugh is
75 then. Hugh will die back in Rockford, Mercer County September 21, 1951 age
96. Both are buried in Ridge Cemetery, Van Wert County.

Wormer is 76 OH GER GER and widowed. She has a
granddaughter Jean White 21 IN OH OH with her as she
did in 1930. She is a daughter of their daughter Carol. She was married to
George Putnam who was a son of Israel Pitt Putnam and Fidelia Robinson. He was
born here September 30, 1860 and died here May 12, 1937. Amelia was born April
5, 1858. They were here all their lives except for a jaunt to Oklahoma where
they were in 1910.

and Abigail Mixer of Marietta. He was born in Vinton November 15, 1871. He was
married to Lucy Hays who died in 1925. He was widowed here in 1930. Don’t have
any info on Laura, sad to say. Ben will die here in Marietta December 13, 1944.

April 20, 1925 and will be here till he dies June 25, 2007. He was first
married to Betsy White and after her death to Dorothy Greer in 1989.

Benjamin Perkins Putnam and Lydia Edgerton, and was born here. She was with her
widowed mother in 1920 and by herself here in 1930. New Englanders.

October 6, 1932. Rose was born February 17, 1865 and will be here till she dies
December 23, 1945.

was born in Concord, Ross County Ohio August 15, 1890 and will die here in
Bowling Green October 7, 1950. Russell is a son of Marcellius
Putman and Belle James and was at home in Ross County with his widowed mother
in 1900 and 1910 and then I don’t find him after that. Probably in the Army.
Ruth is a daughter of Edgar John Hart and Morna Jean Spitler and was born in Allen, Hancock County December 11,
1906 and will die here in Bowling Green July 31, 1998. They were here in 1935.
German family from Hampshire County Virginia, now West Virginia.
CORRINE PUTMAN Crawford Township, Carey Village, Wyandot
County
She
is a telephone operator and is 37 OH and divorced. She is living with her
widowed mother Mae Pierce 59 OH. Velma Corrine Pierce was married here to
Orville Sherwood Putnam here in 1930. She still has all their kids: Doris M. 18
OH, Robert S. 17 OH, Annabelle 15 OH, Harold E. 13 OH and a daughter Mardell 11
OH. Corrine is a daughter of Harold Pierce and Lillie Mae Fenstermaker
and was born in Columbus November 25, 1902 and will die in Seneca County Ohio
November 28, 1985. Orville is married here now to Alice Gutermuth.
In The son Harold was born November 15, 1926 and will be here in Carey till he
dies November 19, 2004. German family out of Somerset County Pennsylvania like everyone here in the county.

Hancock County. He was born September 2, 1896. He will die here in Carey in
November 1971. He was single at home in 1920 and married to Velma Corrine
Pierce here in 1930 and then they divorced. She is still in town with their
kids. Alice is a daughter of Frederick John Gutermuth
and Alice O. Wentz and was born in Dardenne, St. Charles County Missouri in
1908.
He is
72 OH OH OH and now has a
new wife Winnie. He was operating a gasoline filling station, but is retired
now. He is a son of Henry Putman and Clarissa Clark. He was married to Martha
Ellen Hickle here in 1920 and widowed in 1930 as she
died here in 1922. German family from Pennsylvania.

32 OH, his wife Zelma Kinley is 29 OH and they have Genevieve 8 OH and Joan
4/12 OH. He is a presser in a porcelain plant. Harry Allen Putnam is a son of
Allen Putnam and Eliza Nye and was born in Hancock County Ohio March 20, 1908
and will die in April 1986. He married Zelma in Kentucky May 23, 1930. She was
born in 1910 and will die here in Carey July 27, 1944. His dad was a son of
Henry Putman and Clarissa Clark. Pennsylvania German Butmans/Putmans.

M. Jr. 13 OH, Joyce Ann 11 OH, Janet L. 9 OH and Annette J. 3 OH. He also works
in a porcelain plant. He is another son of Allen and Eliza from Hancock County.
He was home there in 1920 and here in Carey in 1930. His folks are over here
now too. Willis was born April 27, 1905 and will die in Carey Wyandot County
February 3, 1996 at age 90. He married Helen February 26, 1924. She was born
April 12, 1906 and died in Carey on March 6, 1997 also at age 90. The son
Willis was born April 6, 1927 and will die here November 7, 2001.

farm. His wife Cora C. Kleinman has died here in 1932. Still at home are Roy F.
(Jr.) 20 OH, Harold C. 18 OH, and Calvin C. 16 OH. He is a son of Perry Alvin
Putman and Ada Wolfe. Born here February 25, 1893. His dad died in 1898 and in
1900 he was living with his mom who had married Charles Stanton Moffett. He
will later marry Lydia Arabelle Clingerman
on July 24, 1955 and will die in Hardin County Ohio May 21, 1958. Guess he had
just too much sex or something too late in life. Alas . Lydia will die in Columbus, Ohio July 9, 1965. This is a
Pennsylvania German family like everyone in the County.
